Happy Holidays friends! I hope all of your celebrations were wonderful – Hannukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Festivus. If they weren’t for whatever reason, I hope they were at least a break from the ordinary! I’ve been loving the meme running around lately about how the days between Christmas and New Years are a confusing no-man’s-land of time.

Haha, how true, right? Ryan and I flew back from Houston on Wednesday (we spent Christmas there with his parents), and I’m juuuuust starting to get a grasp on the days of the week over here (heyyy Saturday). I finally finished my – extremely late – Christmas cards last night, so now I feel like I can completely focus on relaxing. Case in point – I fell asleep at 9pm last night and slept for 12 hours. I am officially relaxed.

Ryan, Hektor and I are taking a hard stand on relaxing through the end of the year. We’re holed up at the mountain house, invested in some housecoats (mine makes me look like a cozy bear, look for a family photo on Instagram this weekend), and plan to sip all manner of hot beverages.

Life will spring back into full speed come Tuesday, so I’m embracing this slow time so I can ring in the new year fully rejuvenated. Happy New Year and a restful end of 2017 to you all!
